-Hey yo! I have been enjoying this summer a hell of a lot, and other just getting over a cold that ruined a good chunk of last week, I have been making the most out of it. It seemed last summer I backed out of a few too many things to do that could have made that summer a blast but this summer I have been seizing every oppurtunity.

-Just a couple weeks ago I went toobing with Ann and her boyfriend, Aaron, and their friends Jason, Rachel, and Zach at Red Lake Falls. I want to say good times but just had kind of an unlucky day overall. We got out there a couple hours later as planned, and shortly into our first trip down the river I got something in my eye, I have no idea what and I had problems seeing until the next trip down the river. Shortly after I got my sight back on our 2nd trip down, one of our coolers tips over and we lose several brews. Then right after that Ann & Aaron get in a huuuuge fight and everyone is just kinda silent for the rest of the day. But there were some good times, but it could have been better.

-Last weekend was pretty fun, I had a three day break. On Thursday I met up with Matt and Dannielle and we went to Fargo to check out Thunder Road. It is a mini theme park of sorts and has go karts, batting cages, minigolf and an arcade. We spent about a good hour or two there and had a decent amount of fun. I got reminded I can't hit a ball for the life of me, and I can't play the arcade version of Marvel vs. Capcom for shit. Matt picked up some new RPGs for PS2 down in Fargo also that we checked out later, unique 2D artsy ones too, Grim Grimoire and Odins Sphere. Both have an amazing, unique art style and gameplay. Matt also hooked me up with a great deal on some old Final Fantasy games he knew that a person was selling. He got me Final Fantasy 7 and 8 on PSone and X and X-2 on PS2, all combined for $40. I know 8 and X-2 aren't looked on that favorably from past reviews, but I couldn't pass up that offer. If I ever make time to play those games, I will never know.

I also picked up the Heroes of World Class Wrestling DVD down in Fargo too. I finished watching it this morning actually. I never had access to watch it growing up, and actually by the time I was 6 or 7 it already was out of business. All I knew about it was that it was the promotion to watch in Texas in the 80s and Texas Tornado (Kerry Von Erich) and his family were huge down there. This indy documentary provided great insight to the company on its highs and many lows. It got kinda tough to watch towards the end as all the Von Erichs passed away but it was a great watch all together and ran about 2 and a half hours in length. WWE bought the WCCW video library shortly after this documentary began production and later this year the WWE is going to be releasing their own DVD about WCCW, so it is going to be interesting to see how much their takes on the company differ.

-On Friday Chris and Scott came over. We recorded a podcast, both those guys didn't see Transformers yet so I went and saw it a second time. Second time watching it was harder to watch the first half since it seems everybody is trying to crack a one liner in every minute or two, but the second half still kicks all kinds of ass. Aftwerward we came back and watched Idiocracy. Pretty good day there.

-On Saturday I went down to the Twin Cities as the good guys at teamfremont.com were throwing a "Beer Extravaganza" which I also attended last year. Lots more forum members were also there this year like Cap'n, Torgo, Savory Cade, Danger Boy, Jay, and a few others. Played plenty of PS3 and DS multiplayer down there too. BS'd plenty about games over many new brews I never tried before. All those guys are awesome and a blast to hang with. Very good time overall.

-My family is currently on vacation now in Minnesota, I wish I could join them but they planned it pretty last minute and I couldn't get the time off from work in time. My dad also just happened to get back from what seemed like one of the longest road trips ever for his vacation. I had dinner with him last night and he told me all about it. He drove all the way up to Niagra falls and did some scenic driving along the coast of Canada at New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and for the hell of it decided to visit Quebec and Montreal, he then went down to Washington DC and checked out all the memorials there and plenty of other spots on his way back. I realllllly want to go to Washington DC for a vacation, I think that is where I am gonna be heading next summer actually. As I stated in this journal before I am a huuuge history nut, and checking out the memorials and national archives in person would be a thrill and a half for me.

-This weekend is going to be interesting. I am going to be the best man for Scott's wedding. So we are going to do the whole rehearsal and bachelor's party and wedding all this weekend. It'll be my first wedding since being a groomsmen at Corey's wedding in 2003. I checked with a couple buddies on all the responsibilities the Best Man has to do to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. Think I got it all under check....bachelors pary, speech, and car runner....any other tips from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

-Well that is about it for me, I wanted to comment about my thoughts on the current wrestling scene post-Benoit but I am running short on time. Latez!
