-Just when you thought I would miss my monthly blog goal, I manage to squeak one out on the last day of February!

-I went to a pretty sweet Super Bowl party. My old Gamestop coworker Alex hosted the event, and he had a fantastic setup with two HD televisions and a great spread of food. I was kind of rooting for the Steelers, especially when they made it a game in the second half. Alex was in full Steelers superfan mode, complete with Terrible Towel and jersey.

-Want to know a good way to kill an afternoon? I killed one driving around to three different locations in a quest to find the ever-so-delicious girl scout cookies! I use to order them through a coworker, but she no longer sold them anymore due to new policies. She directed me towards their website though which had local cookie hotspots in town. I jotted down a few and was on my way. First stop was a dirt mall, after perusing the dirt mall a couple laps around, I asked around and was told of no cookies being sold in said dirt mall. A passerby heard my inquiries and told me he came from the local event center in town which had a town left.

So I immediately made haste to the event center only to find out the cookie table was part of a bigger "Feast of Nations" event which had many other food samples and such, but required a $10 fee for entry. I did not feel like paying $10 for the privilege to purchase girl scout cookies, so I left the event center and went to one last stop I knew was selling cookies, and finally I found a table that was selling girl scout cookies. To my dismay however they only had a couple flavors left and not my favorite Peanut Butter Patties or Caramel Delights. So I reluctantly picked up a box of Lemonades and Peanut Butter Sandwiches, and they were not all that bad.

-Since my last blog I am finally all caught up through season 4 of Psych now. Still absolutely loving that show, and highly recommend checking it out. It is like a CSI version of Scrubs, but far less annoying humor. I believe all the seasons are currently up on Netflix Streaming.

-What's the latest hot news in town? A Five Guys restaurant opened up in town a couple weeks back. I have been there before and love their burgers! Any Five Guys fans?

-In case you have not been keeping up with wrestling the past few weeks, apparently The Rock is back. He has confirmed that he is the guest host for Wrestlemania, and that he would never be leaving WWE again. What that means is beyond me, but at least he cut a hell of a promo against John Cena. I have been watching quite a few wrestling videos recently too in anticipation for the upcoming "Showcase of the Immortals." Matt and I watched Wrestlemania X on DVD. It is still one of my favorite Wrestlemania's, featuring a classic Bret/Owen match and the first ladder match on PPV, which was another classic between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. After watching the last several Wrestlemania's however, WMX lacks the "big event" feel that the last several have encapsulated so well.

I also watched the bonus discs off the Wrestlemania XXVI BluRay. One of the discs featured the entire RAW and Smackdown right before Wrestlemania. The other disc featured the entire Hall of Fame induction ceremony that took place the night before Wrestlemania, and had inductions for such luminaries like Ted Bibiase, Gorgeous George, Mad Dog Vachon and others. Finally, I watched the documentary for Big Show's new DVD. I am glad to see a documentary finally covering his accomplished career. I liked it, but it is way too short at just under an hour. His first three big years for WCW is essentially just a montage of him chokeslamming people without any noteworthy anecdotes, and they do the same with certain stretches of his WWE career. At least they do dedicate time to his memorable moments like the superplex that broke the ring, his "dead father" feud with Big Boss Man, his run in the revived ECW, paying dues the hard way by getting demoted to OVW and his newsworthy Wrestlemania feud with Floyd Mayweather.

-What would I tell you if the latest and best new podcast on the gaming scene would be one solely dedicated to covering the latest releases off of Nintendo Wii Ware and DSiWare? Stop laughing, because you clearly have yet to check out the Nintendownload Podcast. Please give an episode a listen now to hear the latest show taking the podcast scene by storm!

-Speaking of podcasts, we recently celebrated the 5 Year Anniversary episode of On Tap! I know, I cannot believe it has been five years since we started that beast, which was originally a spinoff from the old VGpub website I wrote for many years ago. We celebrated with a live UStream podcast, and even had a couple live call-ins. If you have yet to listen to the five year anniversary show, click here to give it a listen.

-I have been going crazy for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 lately since its release a couple weeks ago. I loved the second game and played it to death for many years, and yes the sequel was worth the wait! Would have liked it a few years sooner, but Capcom definitely nailed it! Played a ton online against the fine VGevo community and a ton against former Gamestop coworker, Chris. Chris happened to fill me in on a MVC3 tournament going on at the 'ol local Gamestop. Only eight people participated, three of whom were my brother, Chris and I. I faced Chris in the first round and barely lost. Chris actually went on to win the tournament, and had a helluva comeback in the semifinals where he was down to his last guy, against two and a half other guys left on the other team, and he somehow managed to pull off the comeback! Aside from all that, I also did an in-depth review for MVC3 on Robot Panic, and it was also the featured discussion on segment on the latest episode of On Tap, which features Matt, Chris and myself geeking out on it for nearly an hour.

-Let's do a quick rundown of the rest of what I have been playing to wrap up this monthly blog!

-I dedicated a week straight to wrapping up and finally completing Yakuza 3. Awesome story, and decent, albeit outdated, gameplay. I also picked up my old save and finally wrapped up Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. I usually do not care for the cash in on the big zombie fad that has been running wild the last several years, but this was a creative and fun use of it. Well worth the download!

-I completed not one, but two episodes from Phoenix Wright: Trials & Tribulations. Only one more left! The question is, what should I play next? I am leaning towards the Hotel Dusk sequel, Lost Window. However the last month alone I have picked up five DS games, most of which will probably be awhile before I get to them at the rate I play through DS games. If you are wondering, the games I picked up were 999, Ghost Trick, Golden Sun, Dragon Quest VI & Radiant Historia.

-Got a chance to finally get my first real hands-on time with the Kinect & Move. Matt picked up Kinect and I played a bunch of Kinect Adventures with him and the Dance Masters demo. The Kinect is quite the workout, especially that damn river raft game. I found the Move to offer more precise and accurate control. Disc Golf is awesome, as is the Jenga-esque puzzle game, Tumble.

-I am through chapter two in the XBLA release, Raskulls. If anyone remembers Mr. Driller from a decade ago, then you will probably eat this up. It is an awesome mash up of Tetris-meets-racing. Throw an over-the-top and super cute story on the whole thing, and you got another addictive XBLA release.

-Only got a few hours with Bulletstorm, but am loving it so far. It's much touted "Kill with Skill" gameplay definitely changes the way I play an FPS. Bringing that into its online Anarchy mode with up to three friends is a riot too.

-That wraps up another epic blog. Later!
